Del Valle and Manor are the two halves of Austin's eastern edge. Del Valle wraps around the airport: Austin-Bergstrom on one side, Circuit of the Americas to the southeast, Tesla's Giga Texas at the corner of SH 130 and SH 71. Manor sits up US 290 East, a fast-growing town of new subdivisions about 15 miles northeast of downtown. Both are full of people who need a car for work, and both are close enough to AUS that a trip to an airport rental counter makes little sense. We deliver to the job site, the hotel or the house.

How close the airport is
From Giga Texas to the AUS terminal is about 10 minutes without traffic, west on SH 71. From COTA it is about 15 minutes. From Manor, plan on 20 to 25 minutes by SH 130 south and SH 71 west. In practice that means you land, meet us at the arrivals curb and are at the plant gate or the hotel in less time than it takes to ride a shuttle to a rental garage and stand in line. The short distance works in the other direction too. Travelers with an early flight often spend the last night at a hotel near the airport on SH 71 and return the car at the AUS curb in the morning, a five-minute drive instead of a 5 a.m. ride from downtown. Crews rotating out on a Friday can hand their cars back at the curb on the way to the gate, and the replacement crew can be met at the same curb when they land.
Workers, contractors and crews
Most bookings on this side of the city come from work. Giga Texas and the suppliers around it bring in engineers, installers and contractors from all over the country, often for weeks at a time, and construction keeps going along SH 130 and US 290. A typical setup: a Toyota Corolla or similar for a solo engineer, a Toyota Tacoma or similar or a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or similar when there are tools to carry, and a Ford Transit Van or similar or Ford Transit 15-Passenger Van or similar to move a crew from the hotel to the site in one trip. Samsung's plant in Taylor is about 40 minutes north on SH 130; that side has its own Hutto and Taylor page.

F1 and race weekends at COTA
Circuit of the Americas hosts the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix every fall, usually in October, plus other races and concerts through the year. On a big weekend the roads into the track, FM 812 and Elroy Road above all, slow to a crawl, and the parking lots and shuttles run on their own rules. Visitors staying in Del Valle or at the airport hotels are much closer than anyone staying downtown. Cars run short that weekend, so book early. Living in Manor
Manor has grown quickly, with neighborhoods such as ShadowGlen and Presidential Glen spreading out from US 290 and FM 973. Households here rent when a car is in the shop, when relatives fly in for a week, or when a long commute needs a reliable second car for a while. Downtown Austin is about 20 to 25 minutes away without traffic. Between US 183 and SH 130, the middle lanes of US 290 are a toll road, the Manor Expressway, with free frontage roads on either side; the toll roads guide explains the choice. The Travis County Expo Center on Decker Lane, home to Rodeo Austin usually in March, is a short drive from Manor.
Del Valle, the plant and the hotels
Del Valle itself is a mix of older rural roads, new subdivisions along SH 71 and FM 973, and the warehouses and hotels that have grown up around the airport and the plant. Many contractors stay in the airport hotels and drive out to Giga Texas each morning. We deliver to those hotels, to homes in the subdivisions and to the visitor areas of job sites.
