Austin is a truck town that mostly rents sedans at the airport, which leaves a gap: the person moving into an apartment off Riverside, the homeowner with a weekend of Home Depot runs in Pflugerville, the group heading to Lake Travis with a boat trailer's worth of gear, the contractor in town for a month at Giga Texas. We deliver a Toyota Tacoma or similar or a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or similar to your door or the AUS arrivals curb, and collect it when the job is done.
Our pickups in Austin
Prices are per day before multi-day and weekly discounts. Three days or more cost less per day and a week less still; for a month or longer call or text 512-851-0490 and we quote it directly. Delivery anywhere in Greater Austin and at the AUS arrivals curb is included; there is no airport concession fee and no facility charge.
Tacoma or Silverado
The Tacoma is the mid-size: five seats, a bed that takes a weekend's worth of gear, and a footprint that fits downtown garages and the tight lots at Barton Springs. It is the truck for the Hill Country, the lake, a camping trip to Pedernales Falls or McKinney Falls, and the errands that need a bed but not a big one. The Silverado 1500 is the full-size: a bigger cab, a longer bed, more payload. It is the one for a move, a load of lumber or drywall, or a week of jobsite runs between Taylor, Hutto and the city.
What people rent a pickup for in Austin
-
Moving, especially the August rush around UT and the January turnover, when the box trucks are gone and a pickup plus two trips does the job.
-
Home projects: the Home Depot and Lowe's runs, mulch season, the fence that finally gets fixed.
-
Lake Travis and Lake Austin weekends: coolers, paddleboards, tubes; see the Lake Travis guide.
-
Camping and state parks: Pedernales Falls, McKinney Falls, Inks Lake, Enchanted Rock.
-
Contractors and crews on assignment at Samsung in Taylor, Tesla in Del Valle or the data centers along SH 130, often by the week or the month.
-
Visitors who simply drive a truck at home and do not want a Corolla for ten days.

Driving a truck in Austin
Both trucks are automatic and easy. The Silverado is wide for the older garages downtown and on the UT campus; surface lots and the newer garages are fine. The toll roads around the city, SH 130, SH 45 and 183A, are the quick way around with a load; our toll guide explains them. For anything beyond normal use, towing included, tell us when you book so we can set it up properly.
What you need
A valid driver's license and a major credit or debit card. Minimum age is 21, with no young-driver surcharge. Basic liability coverage is included; the refundable deposit and the coverage options are explained before you pay anything. Every car is recent, automatic, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and "or similar" means you reserve the category and get that model or one of the same class, seats, year range and price.
Common questions
Which pickups do you rent in Austin?
Two categories: the Toyota Tacoma (mid-size, 5 seats) at $153 a day and the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (full-size, 5 seats) at $175. Both are recent automatics with CarPlay and Android Auto.
Can I use the truck for moving or hauling?
Yes, that is what most people rent it for: furniture runs, a weekend project, a move across town. Treat the bed the way you would your own and bring straps; if you plan to tow, ask us first.
Do you deliver a pickup to Austin airport?
Yes. Curbside at AUS with your flight tracked, or to any address in Greater Austin, at no extra cost.
Tacoma or Silverado?
The Tacoma parks anywhere and is the Hill Country and lake truck. The Silverado has the bigger bed and the bigger cab and is the one for a move or a full load of materials.
What do I need to rent a truck?
A valid driver's license, a major credit or debit card and to be 21 or older. There is no young-driver surcharge.
